Asbestos Testing

It doesn't take much asbestos exposure to result in a diagnosis of asbestosis or mesothelioma. Only a short time breathing in asbestos particles can cause irritation in the lung lining that can lead to loss of lung capacity – or even cancer. However, the risk is greatest for those exposed to asbestos for extended periods of time.

Cox will take a sample of the Asbestos suspect material to determine the percentage of Chrysotile particles in the given sample. The presence or absence of asbestos cannot be determined with a visual inspection, so laboratory testing is the only way to determine if a material contains harmful particles.  If asbestos is present, a list of qualified abatement companies will be provided to remove the material, ensuring a safe living environment.
